Manchester City must continue to fight until the end of the season despite blowing their chances of retaining the title, keeping Liverpool at a distance and hoping to avoid a qualifier to reach next season's Champions League.

Aston Villa will be in very high spirits after they followed up an impressive win at Spurs by booking a place in the FA Cup final by defeating Liverpool. Christian Benteke remains in red hot form and could cause real problems for this City defence.

The hosts will of course be favourites and have a far stronger squad but Villa will play with confidence and aim to spring yet another surprise in what should be an entertaining game.

Manchester City News:

* Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony could both be back in contention this weekend.

* David Silva's facial injury sustained last time out is not as serious as first feared and he could keep his place in the team on Saturday.

* Vincent Kompany's season may well be over, while Clichy and Milner may also remain sidelined.

Aston Villa News:

* Nathan Baker picked up an injury at Wembley last time out and looks likely to miss the rest of the season, along with Ciaran Clark as both suffer with knee injuries.

* Philippe Senderos and Aly Cissokho both came through 90 minutes of action for the reserves in midweek but will likely be eased back into contention.

* Carlos Sanchez is back available following a suspension but the team is likely to line-up in much the same way it did against Liverpool, with Agbonlahor set to be assessed ahead of the game and Scott Sinclair ineligible to face his parent club.
