Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid Preview and Prediction: Draw 1-1 at 11/2
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid will play their sixth Champions League group stage game at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, 5th December.
The teams played the reverse fixture in September and Chelsea won 1 – 2. Before that they played in the 2013/14 Champions League, the first game ended in a goalless draw and the second Atletico Madrid won 1 – 3.
Chelsea have won three games, drawn one and lost one. They are first in group C with 10 points, two points above Roma.
Atletico Madrid have won one game, drawn three and lost two. They are third in group C with 6 points, four points above Qarabag.
Chelsea have the advantage going into this game, they are at the top of the group and defeated Atletico away from home. However, they will also be aware that Roma is only two points behind and are likely to claim three from their match with Qarabag. As a result, there will be quite a lot of pressure on Chelsea and this may just give Atletico the space they need to keep their hosts at bay.
A 1 – 1 draw is the most likely outcome with Paddy Power and Boyle Sports both offering odds of 11/2.
Paddy Power Odds: 11/10 Chelsea to Win, 12/5 for a Draw and 13/5 Atletico Madrid to Win
Boyle Sports Odds: 11/10 Chelsea to Win, 23/10 for a Draw and 13/5 Atletico Madrid to Win
