England vs Brazil Preview and Prediction: Draw 1-1 at 11/2
England and Brazil will play an International Friendly match at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, 14th November.
The teams haven’t played each other since a friendly match in June 2013 and it ended in a 2 – 2 draw. Before that they played in February 2013 and England won that game 2 – 1. Brazil last defeated England in 2009.
England recently secured qualification for next year’s World Cup by finishing top of their qualification group. They are currently twelfth in the FIFA World Rankings with 1116 points, eighteen points below Switzerland.
Brazil have also secured World Cup qualification finishing top of their region with twelve wins, five draws and one loss. They are currently second in the FIFA World Rankings with 1619 points, twelve points below leaders Germany.
This match is likely to prove to be a real test for England. Brazil has been performing better recently, a fact reflected in their superior ranking. However, England are playing for a home crowd and as it is a friendly there shouldn’t be too much pressure. It could be a very close match and may be a taste of what is to come in next year’s tournament.
A 1 – 1 draw is the most likely result with Boyle Sports and Paddy Power both offering odds of 11/2.
Paddy Power: 23/10 England to Win, 12/5 for a Draw and 10/11 Brazil to Win
Boyle Sports: 12/5 England to Win, 13/5 for a Draw and 1/1 Brazil to Win
