Georgia vs Wales Preview and Prediction: Wales to Win 1-0 at 9/2
Georgia and Wales will play their next World Cup qualifying game at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena on Friday, 6th October.
The teams played the reverse fixture in October last year and it ended in a 1 – 1 draw. However, Wales won all three of their previous meetings, in 2008, 1995 and 1994.
Georgia are currently fifth in qualifying Group D with 5 point, four points below Austria. Last month they drew 1 – 1 with both Austria and the Republic of Ireland and earlier in the year they drew with Moldova.
Wales are second in qualifying Group D with 14 points, four points below Serbia. Last month they defeated Wales and Austria and earlier in the year they drew with Serbia and the Republic of Ireland.
Based on recent results Wales seem to be the team in better form and will be feeling confident after their results last month. Georgia will be desperate to try and claim some more points from the final two qualifying games so will put up a fight and it could be a very hard fought match.
A 1 – 0 win for Wales is the most likely outcome with Paddy Power and Boyle Sports both offering odds of 9/2.
Paddy Power Odds: 7/2 Georgia to Win, 11/5 for a Draw and 5/6 Wales to Win
Boyle Sports Odds: 7/2 Georgia to Win, 9/4 for a Draw and 20/23 Wales to Win
