Inter Milan vs Olympique Lyonnais Preview and Prediction: Draw 1- 1 at 6/1
Inter Milan and Olympique Lyonnais will play in the International Champions Cup at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center in Nanjing on Monday, 24th July.
These teams haven’t played each other in fifteen years. Their last meetings were in the Champions League in 2002. The first leg of the game was won 1 – 2 by Inter Milan while the second game ended in a 3 – 3 draw.
Last Season Inter Milan finished seventh in the Serie A, just one point below AC Milan. Over the weekend Inter drew 1 – 1 in a friendly with Schalke and earlier in the month they lost a friendly against Nurnberg, a Bundesliga 2 team. As a result, they will be eager to make sure that they put in a strong performance.
Olympique Lyonnais finished fourth in the Ligue 1 last season, nine points below Nice. They are having more success in their preseason friendlies. At the beginning of the month they defeated Bourg-En-Bresse 1 – 3 and then last week they demolished Celtic 0 – 4 and defeated Ajax 2 – 0.
While this may just be a friendly match, both teams have a lot to prove ahead of the next season and this could result in an extremely competitive match.
A 1 – 1 draw is the most likely outcome with Paddy Power and Boyle Sports both offering odds of 6/1.
Paddy Power Odds: 1/1 Inter Milan to Win, 12/5 for a Draw and 11/5 Olympique Lyonnais to Win
