Italy and Sweden will play the second leg of their World Cup qualification play-off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Monday, 13th November.

Sweden finished second in qualifying Group A with 19 points having won six games, drawn one and lost three. In the last round of games last month they lost 2 – 0 to the Netherlands and defeated Luxembourg 8 – 0. Before that they defeated Belarus 0 – 4.
Many were surprised by Sweden’s victory last week and the Italians are under great pressure to make sure that they qualify for next year’s tournament. Sweden is sure to take inspiration from last week’s result and it could turn into a highly competitive match.
