Real Madrid vs Valencia Preview and Prediction: Madrid to Win 3-0 at 8/1
Real Madrid and Valencia will play their second match of the La Liga season at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid on Sunday, 27th August.
Last season Real Madrid won both games against Valencia, the first 3 – 2 and the second 2 – 1. The last time that Valencia defeated Real Madrid was 2 – 3 in March 2008. However, they have drawn a number of times in recent years.
Real Madrid has been in excellent form over the past month. They won their first match of the season 0 – 3 against Deportivo La Coruna. Since then they have won a friendly 2 – 1 against Fiorentina and before the season began they defeated Barcelona 5 – 1 on aggregate in the Super Cup.
Valencia also won their first match of the season defeating Las Palmas 1 – 0. Before that they lost a friendly 1 – 2 to Atalanta but they did win three prior club friendlies: 1 – 2 against Werder Bremen, 0 – 1 against AFC Bournemouth and 0 – 2 against Cincinnati.
At present Real Madrid look to be unstoppable and the team is likely to be feeling extremely confident. Valencia will certainly have their work cut out.
A 3 – 0 win for Real Madrid is the most likely outcome with Paddy Power and Boyle Sports both offering odds of 8/1.
