Arsenal and Leicester City will begin their Premier League season taking each other on at the Emirates Stadium in London on Friday, 11th August.
The teams have played many times over the years. They last played in April and Arsenal won the game 1 – 0. Before that they played in August 2016 and the game ended in a goalless draw.
Last season Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League, just below Liverpool. They recently lost 2 – 1 to Sevilla in the Emirates Cup and before that they defeated Benfica in the same competition. They were also impressive against Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup last month.
Leicester City finished twelfth in the Premier League last season, just below West Ham. They have been having a disappointing preseason. They lost a friendly 2 – 1 to Burton Albion and before that they were defeated 1 – 0 by the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Their best result recently was a goalless draw with Milton Keynes.
While nothing is guaranteed, Arsenal certainly seem to be the stronger team in this match.
