Spanish Primera Division Betting

More commonly known as La Liga, the Spanish Primera Division is the largest and highest ranking professional football division in Spain. Currently, the league is comprised of 20 teams and each season the bottom three finishers in the league standings are relegated to the next league down, the Segunda Division. Conversely, the top two finishers in Segunda will be granted entry into La Liga, along with the winner of a face off for the third position. As many as 60 teams have participated in La Liga matches since the league was founded in 1929. Several of the Spanish clubs have been awarded multiple Liga titles since the league’s inception, with the highest amount of league wins attributed to Real Madrid, with 33 trophies.
